Gina's wheel thrown and handbuilt clay vessels, often combined with themes of stitching, are earthy, organic or fun whimsical!
Her clay and fiber work is inspired by nature; organic and earthy with accents of color. Stoneware clay is highlighted with oxide washes and interiors are glazed with variegated glazes suggesting nature's elements of earth and water. All glazes are food safe so art that decorates the home becomes functional as well.
As a Home Economist Gina spent many years weaving and sewing. Her current body of work has married this past with her love for clay. Lacing and stitches enhance many of her pieces along with accents of handmade beads. No leather is used in any of Gina’s work.
